What Is This Tool?
This tool shows your image on a canvas and lets you drag out a crop rectangle directly on it. Choose "Free" to draw any shape, or lock a common ratio such as 1:1 for avatars or 16:9 for banners. The pixels inside the box are exported at their original resolution.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the crop reduce resolution?
No. The selected area is exported at the image’s native pixel density, so a crop of a large photo is still high resolution.
How do I get an exact square?
Choose the 1:1 ratio; the selection box is then constrained to a square as you drag.
Can I crop outside the image?
The selection is clamped to the image bounds, so you can only keep pixels that actually exist. Use Add Image Border to extend the canvas.
What format is the cropped file?
PNG, which is lossless and keeps any transparency in the source.
Is my image uploaded?
No, it stays in your browser.
