What Is This Tool?

This tool rotates your image around its centre. Quarter-turn buttons give exact 90° steps with no quality loss; the fine-angle slider rotates by any degree and expands the canvas so nothing is clipped, filling the new corners with the colour you pick.

How It Works

1

Drop an image onto the box or select one.

2

Use the 90° buttons for quarter turns.

3

Or drag Fine angle for an exact tilt correction.

4

Pick a corner fill colour and click Download PNG.

Everything runs locally in your browser — the image you choose is decoded onto an HTML canvas on your own device and is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does rotating reduce quality?

Not for 90°, 180° or 270° — those just rearrange pixels. Arbitrary angles resample the image once, which is a very small, usually invisible quality cost.

Why did transparent triangles appear in the corners?

A non-right-angle rotation leaves empty space in the corners of the bounding box. Choose white or black under "Fill" if you need a solid background.

Can I rotate a JPG and keep it a JPG?

This tool outputs PNG so the corner transparency is preserved. Convert back with the JPG converter if you need a JPEG and chose a solid fill.

Does it read the EXIF orientation flag?

The browser applies EXIF orientation when it decodes the image, so what you see is already upright; your rotation is on top of that.

Is my image uploaded?

No, rotation is done on a local canvas.
