What Is This Tool?
This tool paints a solid border around your image. By default the canvas grows so the whole original image is still visible inside the frame; "Draw inside" instead overlays the border on the existing edges, keeping the output the same size. Any colour is allowed, including matching a page background.
How It Works

Set the Border width and pick a Colour.
Choose whether the border sits outside or inside.
Click Download PNG.
Everything runs locally in your browser — the image you choose is decoded onto an HTML canvas on your own device and is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the border change the image dimensions?
In the default (outside) mode yes — the output is larger by twice the border width. In "Draw inside" mode the dimensions stay exactly the same.
Can I have different widths per side?
This version uses one width on all four sides. For asymmetric padding, add the border then crop, or use the Meme Generator’s caption bars.
Can the border be transparent?
The colour picker chooses an opaque colour. For transparent padding, use Round Image Corners with radius 0 after placing the image on a larger transparent canvas.
What format is the output?
PNG, so the image’s own transparency is kept.
Is my image uploaded?
No, the border is drawn locally.
